Ok -- already forgot some info that I meant to send.
I had my first encounter with the forest leech yesterday -- at least the blood on my sock at lunch indicated that the leech had already had lunch on me!! Did not even feel it and no after effects.
Looks like the schedule has changed today -- now the goat delivery is late afternoon, so guess we will go with Jason and Arenia for noodles soon. And...you will note, the power came back on so for now we are back in the clinic.
Had a chat with Willi this morning (one of the docs). He is applying for Ob/Gyn residency for this summer and can only apply to one place, then must complete a series of exams prior to an interview. Then, if not accepted, he must wait another 6 mos before reapplying. From what he has seen, the exams are testing knowledge that you really learn during the residency -- figure that out. He was doing some acupuncture this morning -- hope to watch it next week.
Don't remember how much Lauri has told you about these bikes we are riding -- but suffice it to say that they lack most things a bike would have -- like brakes. So...as long as I get plenty of warning about a needed stop, I can do it.
Lauri is busily sending a much-better constructed note along with some pictures. I intend to improve, both with my writing and use of pictures. The orangutans were just too hard to get good photos of, but will have a couple to send from Neahga of the monkeys.
